Why Battery Storage is Key for Renewable Energy

Battery energy storage is the key to making the renewable energy transition a reality. Consequently, this industry is growing extremely fast, despite facing hurdles over safety and restricted supply chains. Our presenter, Allison Weis, PhD, shares her insights on where batteries are headed across all applications, but will focus on utility-scale markets, based on her expertise as Global Head of Storage at Wood Mackenzie. 2026 Home Building Summit - EastJanuary 27-28 | In Person | BuildTank Inc. and BS & Beer Denver
BUILDTank Inc. and BS and Beer Denver Metro have created an annual residential building science-driven Summit for Colorado Builders, Architects, Code Officials, and Tradespeople. Their first annual Summit was held in Denver in January of 2025 and featured builders and building science experts, all based in Colorado, speaking to Colorado-specific issues. They are doing it again and are committed to making the Summit an annual event. New but equally great content with handpicked speakers who can represent the unique issues facing the Colorado residential construction community. This single-track Summit offers additional opportunity for robust conversation and debate at breaks and receptions, as everyone has heard the same presentations. Vertical Divider

Transitioning to Heat Pump HVAC--Expert and User PanelThursday, February 5 at 5:00 PM | In Person | NECO and Go Electric Colorado
New Energy Colorado (NECO) will host a heat pump event at the Community Room at the Lakewood Cultural Center on February 5th. NECO has collaborated with Go Electric Colorado to put together a panel of experts and homeowners who have installed these energy-efficient HVAC units. We are especially interested in providing real-world experience and overcoming false information from those who are skeptical of changes that move us toward cleaner energy. This discussion will have an in-depth question and answer session that will help those who are interested in replacing worn-out furnaces and those who need help identifying a cold climate heat pump before installation. Some older heat pumps are not working as well as modern-day units. Can't judge effectiveness on older installs alone. Join us to learn more. Vertical Divider
