Words Before All Else: The Haudenosaunee Greetings to the Natural World

The Boulder County chapter hosts a screening of a beautiful 20-minute film about the traditional prayer, “Words Before All Else,” which is central to the spiritual and cultural beliefs of the Six Nations of the Haudenosaunee (also known as the Iroquois). Their daily prayer gives thanks to Mother Earth, Elder Brother Sun, Grandmother Moon, water, animals, plants, and all other living things.
