Logistics are Key to Decarbonizing Rail Transportation

The Illusion of ‘Clean Fuels’ in Decarbonizing Gas Utilities
Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 PM | Hybrid | MDCRES
Gas utilities often push to blend renewable natural gas (RNG) and hydrogen into their existing pipeline systems as a foundation for their decarbonization strategies. However, supply constraints, high costs, and emissions risks prevent RNG and hydrogen from meaningfully contributing to a reduction in gas utilities’ climate pollution. This presentation will provide important context on the state of RNG and hydrogen technology and policy, walk through the risks associated with trying to use them to decarbonize gas utilities, and share real-world examples of how utilities are discounting or covering up these risks. Join in-person in Denver at Odell Brewing Five Points Brewhouse or tune in online via the livestream link. Vertical Divider
