Solar Wars 2017: Tariffs, Net-Metering and the Trump Effect

Please join us as Bill Ellard of Energy Solutions Partners discusses the current and future trends in the solar industry, with a focus on utility tariff reform for residential premises. Besides delving into proposed net-metering changes and their effect on solar adoption in the US, Bill will explore the changing pricing dynamics for PV solar and storage, and how this relates to tariff reform in the utility sector. Finally, with a focus on 2017 solar and renewable trends, Bill will look at the potential impacts on the solar industry of the incoming US administration.

Bill Ellard is founder of Energy Solutions Partners (ESP) in Boulder, CO. Originally trained in econometrics, statistics, and energy economics, Bill, through ESP, provides consulting services to utilities and municipalities exploring opportunities in distributed generation (DG), as well as solar microgrid project development, and utility software architecture. Bill also provides energy economic research, specializing in pricing models for solar and natural gas distributed energy systems, as well as complex PPA development and energy hedging strategies.
