MDCRES Monthly: The Future of Carbon Fiber Recycling + Call for Volunteers!

Did you know that carbon fiber can be recycled while fully maintaining virgin-like properties? Come meet Vartega, a Golden-based technology development company specializing in the carbon fiber-reinforced plastic recycling process. Jordan Harris (Process Engineer) will be talking about the properties of carbon fiber composites, why recycling them is important, and how Vartega’s process manages to maintain virgin-like quality of the material. They will also give us an overview on various markets as they relate to carbon fiber use, and where the future of the material is going.

The meeting format will be as follows:

6:30-7:00pm – Social time and networking

7:00-7:10pm – Announcements

7:10-8:00pm –  Presentation and Q&A

8:00-8:30pm – Wrap up, networking and call for volunteers
