Join the Metro Denver CRES chapter and the CRES Policy Committee for a special speaker series at Declaration Brewing on Tuesday September 17th. Our policy panel will host a lively discussion and answer questions about the legislative session, PUC activity, and more!

NOTE: The Policy Panel will get started at 7pm, but feel free to come grab a beer and hang out before hand!

Gwen Farnsworth – Senior Energy Policy Advisor at Western Resource Advocates.
Gwen develops and advocates for policies that reduce the environmental impact of energy generation and use in the interior western states, with a focus on accelerating the region’s transition to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and other clean energy strategies.

Laurent Meillon – CRES Policy Committee Member and CEO of Capitol Solar Energy, LLC
Capitol Solar Energy, LLC is a leading provider of solar thermal solutions that drive the adoption of carbon free heating throughout Colorado. Laurent has been a long time CRES policy member and advocate for the clean energy transition.

Jan Douglas – Colorado Legislative Committee Chair at Sierra Club
Jan works on behalf of the Sierra Club as a grassroots advocate to help Coloradans meet with and educate their legislators to protect Colorado’s environment.

This session will be moderated by Jonathan Rogers, CRES Policy Committee Member and Renewable Electricity Specialist for the City and County of Denver.

We will also be honoring Representative KC Becker – Speaker of the House – as a special guest. KC is the current Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives since 2019. She has represented the state’s 13th district since 2013 as a leader for clean energy and a healthy environment.
