CRES Winter Gala Dinner

Have fun AND do good as we
raise funds to support the
Colorado
Renewable Energy Society and Denver's
Sustainability Park
CRES'
Second Annual Winter Gala and Fundraiser will
take place on Friday, February 10 at the Arvada
Center for the Arts and Humanities.
This year, the Winter Gala
opens with a VIP
reception at 5 p.m. where guests have
the opportunity to mingle with the speakers for
the Gala Ms. Robin
Kniech and Ms. Susan Greene
as well as several energy and thought
leaders from around the state. A partial list of
additional VIP's attending includes
Mr. Mike Nelson,
KMGH Meteorologist; Mr.
Ron Binz, former chair of the Public
Utilities Commission; and
Dr. H. Malcolm Newton,
President of the Denver Institute of Urban
Studies.
After the VIP reception, the
Gala will begin at 6 p.m. with
cocktails and hors
d'oeuvres while we bid on
silent auction
items ranging from restaurant gift certificates
and ski lift tickets, to a behind-the-scenes
tour of the Channel 7 News Room.
When the silent auction
closes, more fun is on the way! We'll enjoy a
sit-down feast
while we hear from our speakers. After dinner
the bidding really heats up!
Auctioneer
Don Martin will
entertain the audience during the
live auction
portion of the evening. There is something for
every budget and taste! Rockies tickets, a Taos
getaway, a behind the scenes tour of the Denver
Zoo, a California sustainable winery tour, and
the popular Board of Director's Wine Cellar are
among this year's offerings.
