Pueblo Youth Energy Outreach Event

St Francis Xavier Church (611 Logan Avenue, Pueblo, CO)

Age requirements: Anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Volunteer opportunity description: In partnership with several local high schools, and the Pueblo Community College Upward Bound Program, students and adults will reach out to their neighbors in Pueblo regarding low- to no- cost energy efficiency services. In teams of two, volunteers will offer to change out front porch light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs and sign people up for energy efficiency resources. We need 150 volunteers, so we need you! Volunteers should have a desire to improve our environment and help people connect with resources and services. Training and all the materials you need will be provided on the day of the event. Join us for a rewarding and fun event!

About Groundwork: Groundwork Colorado works with high schools and colleges across the state to educate students on energy efficiency, renewable energy and green jobs. The project is funded through the Colorado Department of Labor as part of the State Energy Sector Partnership. To date, we have reached out to over 20,000 residents in Colorado.
