One of the highlights at the annual
Colorado Renewable Energy Conference (CREC) is the
presentation of our CRES awards. The awards are:
1.
The Larson-Notari Award,
named for two of the CRES founders, recognizes individuals
or groups who have made significant contributions to the
field of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and
sustainable buildings. The Board selects the recipient(s)
from nominations submitted by CRES members, and recommended
by the Awards Committee. The recipients must live in
Colorado but do not have to be CRES members.

3.
Building Awards.
These
awards are for buildings that effectively incorporate
renewable energy and energy conservation features.
Traditionally one award is presented for residential
buildings and one for non- residential. Residential
buildings are generally single-family but could include
multi-family. The non-residential category includes
commercial or institutional buildings. Either category can
be new construction or retrofit. The Awards Committee picks
these recipients.
