Governor’s Energy Office Kicks Off Residential Solar Program
The Colorado Governor's Energy Office (GEO)
announced at the end of January that it is seeking partners to help
GEO begin a residential solar rebate program in Colorado. Partners
will be utilities, municipalities, and nonprofit agencies. They will
contribute funding to help underwrite rebates for residential
customers who install solar electric (PV) and solar thermal systems
for domestic hot water and heating.
GEO will match investments by program partners in
the rebates. Energy Office Director Tom Plant said he envisions
creating a $1 million dollar revolving fund to invest in residential
solar systems through this mechanism. Read the details in the GEO
