Tombari Publishes Book Titled Power of the People: America's New
Electricity Choices
CRES Board Member Carol Tombari has written a book
that is now available nationwide. The title is Power of the People:
America’s New Electricity Choices, and the book is available in
bookstores along the Front Range: Barnes & Noble, Borders, and
Tattered Cover. It is part of Fulcrum Publishing’s “Speaker’s
Corner” series, which features short books by Gary Hart, Dick Lamm,
and Willie Nelson, among others.
Tombari says she received a cold call from the
publisher two years ago. They had a long discussion about some of
the institutional issues facing renewable energy technologies in the
marketplace. One conversation led to another, and a publication was
conceived.
Tombari said about the book, "The most important
message is optimism. People need to know that we, as citizens, can
help control our energy future." The book is written in
non-technical terms for the lay reader. Visit your local bookstore
and ask if they carry it. Carol will also be discussing this book at
the CRES Monthly Meeting on Thursday, April 24, 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the
Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden.
