Rocky Mountain Power Begins Solar Rebates in Utah, Wyoming, and
Idaho
September 25, 2007
Solar programs are expanding quickly throughout
the Intermountain West. On September 10, Rocky Mountain Power in
Salt Lake City began accepting applications for solar rebates for
its customers in Utah. The company serves customers in three states,
is a subsidiary of PacifiCorp in Portland, Oregon, and is one of the
largest utilities in the region. (The utility offers other rebates
for energy efficiency equipment in Idaho and Wyoming, but not yet
for solar.) See the Rocky Mountain Power online description of its
Solar Incentive Program in Utah:

Rocky Mountain Power now provides Utah customers
with financial incentive of $2,000 per kilowatt (kW) to install
photovoltaic systems on their homes or businesses. The program is
limited to a total of 107 kW per program year, and rebates are
awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual limit
has been reached. Read more about program details and PV system size
requirements on the Database of State Incentives for Renewable
Energy and Energy Efficiency:
