Legislature Passes Green Building Resolution
May 12, 2006
The Colorado Legislature passed a resolution on March
24 supporting the use of green buildings practices in state
government buildings. Specifically, it recommends building to LEED
silver standards. The resolution was sponsored by Representative Tom
Plant and Senate Majority Leader Ken Gordon (D-Denver.) Governor
Owens signed the resolution on March 31, and you can read it on the
Colorado Legislature website at:

The resolution applauds the efforts to date of Governor Bill Owens
to increase energy efficiency in state facilities, including green
buildings. For an example of one of these projects, see a news story
