CRES Signs On to the 25 x '25 Coalition

The CRES Board of Directors voted at its monthly
meeting on June 28 to endorse the 25 x '25 coalition. 25 x ‘25 is a
rallying cry for renewable energy and a goal for the United States
to get 25 percent of our energy from renewable resources like wind,
solar, and biofuels by the year 2025.
CRES joins an impressive group of supporters of this
idea, including the governors of several states and Farm Bureaus
from across the country. In the Midwest, this list includes: Dave
Heineman (R-Neb.), Brian Schweitzer (D-Mont.), and Kathleen Sebelius

Earlier this year, the Colorado House of
Representatives and the Nebraska Legislature both passed resolutions
supporting the idea of obtaining 25 percent of this country's energy
