Kutscher Garmers Abbot Award

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) awarded Chuck Kutscher with
its prestigious Abbott Award during the Solar 2006 Conference July
10 in Denver. Kutscher is a lifetime CRES member and one of the
founding members of the organization. Kutscher has been a member of
ASES for 28 years, served on the board of directors for nine years
and served as board chairman in 2000-2001. The Abbot Award
recognizes individuals who have made significant career
contributions to the field of solar energy or the society. For

Kutscher was also chair of the Solar 2006 Conference,
entitled "Renewable Energy, Key to Climate Recovery." He wrote a
summary of the conference for Solar Today magazine, which is

Kutscher published a feature article in the July 2006
edition of Solar Today, which summarizes what we know about the
