The Southeast Colorado Renewable Energy Society (SECRES) is a chapter of CRES whose members come from Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and the southeastern section of the state.

SECRES was founded in June 2003 at a meeting at the Colorado Renewable Energy Conference in Montrose. Later that year SECRES sponsored the 2003 Tour of Solar Homes in Pueblo and Colorado Springs, and then held its first public educational event in January 2004. In April 2004, SECRES participated in the Pueblo Home and Garden Show and held several educational meetings.

If you live in southeast Colorado and want to get involved with SECRES, join CRES today and you will automatically join the chapter also.

Events
SECRES meets intermittently, often in partnership with like-minded organizations. As a result, specific dates and locations are not set at the beginning of each year. Meetings are typically open to the public.

The Pueblo Technology Alliance is holding a Smart Energy Systems Summit in Pueblo on April 4th, 2007 at the CSU-Pueblo Occhiato Ballroom. The agenda and additional information can be found via their link: www.pueblotechnologyalliance.org/events.htm . Questions regarding the summit may be directed to service@PuebloTechnologyAlliance.org . The summit promises to be informative for those looking to learn more about renewable energy and sustainable building concepts.
