The Southeast Colorado Renewable Energy Society (SECRES) is a chapter of CRES whose members come from Pueblo, the Pikes Peak region, Colorado Springs, and the southeast region of Colorado.

SECRES was founded in June, 2003 to advocate and educate regarding renewable energy, and to provide a forum for people interested in solar and RE issues in southeast Colorado. In 2008, the chapter helped host the annual Colorado Renewable Energy Conference in Pueblo. Throughout the year, SECRES sponsors several meetings and public events.

Join Us! If you live in southeastern Colorado and wish to get involved with SECRES, please join CRES today. CRES members who live in southeast Colorado automatically become members of SECRES, and a portion of your CRES membership supports the outreach efforts of SECRES.

Events
SECRES sponsors several events in our communities.

  • Annual solar tours (in conjunction with the ASES National Solar Tour) and renewable energy expo events.

The 2009 Solar Tour for Colorado Springs/Pikes Peak region launches on October 3rd at UCCS (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs).

  • Local Webcasts of monthly CRES meetings in Pueblo (CSU-Pueblo) and Colorado Springs (various locations.)

  • RE-view, a discussion group that meets bi-monthly in Colorado Springs to screen videos and discuss solar and renewable energy issues.
